Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated there are no grounds for a government reshuffle, emphasizing the stability and professionalism of his team in an interview with Georgian Public Broadcaster.
“Today I can confidently say the team is stable. Every member is both professional and conscientious — two qualities essential for good governance,” he said.
Kobakhidze praised the effectiveness of the government following earlier reshuffles and said the current administration is fully equipped to focus on eliminating deficiencies, fighting corruption, and ensuring transparency.
He highlighted recent anti-corruption efforts, noting that since February 2024, all government acts have been made public to ensure accountability.
“The real fight against corruption is transparency — not just arrests. We’ve ended direct sales of state property, and every transaction now goes through open auctions.”
The Prime Minister also commended law enforcement for significant progress in tackling organized crime, drug trafficking, and politically motivated offenses, noting declines in theft and violent crimes over the past three months.
“Over 200 major drug dealers have been arrested. Our law enforcement is more effective than ever before,” he added.
