The launch of direct flights between Kutaisi and Venice marks a significant advancement for both Georgia’s tourism sector and its economic relationship with Italy, according to Irakli Nadareishvili, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development.
"Enhancing direct connectivity remains a top priority in our tourism development strategy," Nadareishvili stated.
He also noted ongoing discussions with airlines already operating in Georgia to increase flight frequencies and expand connections to new destinations. “We recently concluded successful negotiations with Wizz Air, which has been a key player in our aviation market since 2012,” he added.
