The presentation of the new cookbook was attended by the Director of the Office of Economic Growth of USAID/Georgia, Marika Olson, the State Representative-Governor in Kvemo Kartli, Shota Rekhviashvili, President of Gastronomic Association of Georgia, Delila Tsatava, and Head of the USAID Project "Zrda Activity in Georgia", Ketevan Chumburidze.
The book, published with the support of the USAID-funded Zrda [Growth] Activity in Georgia project, combines up to 30 dish recipes developed by ethnic minorities (Armenians, Azerbaijanis, Assyrians, Greeks, Germans, etc.) living in the Kvemo Kartli region and is available in Georgian and English. The book will be sold in local bookstores and will be an additional source of income for the Kvemo Kartli Regional Development Agency, which will help them carry out various activities in the region.
"Ethno Tabla" is the fifth edition of the series of culinary books developed and published by the USAID project "Zrda [Growth] Activity in Georgia", and among the publications are: "Meskhetian Tabla", "Colchian Tabla", "Tushuri Tabla" and "Kisturi Tabla". The aim of the books is to raise awareness about the traditions, customs and cuisine of different regions of Georgia and as a result to popularize Georgian tourism in the domestic and international tourism markets.
