The Georgian Football Federation has inaugurated the Avaza Football Center in Tbilisi’s Digomi district. The opening was attended by top officials, including Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, and national team coach Willy Sagnol.
Mayor Kaladze praised the collaboration with FIFA, UEFA, and the Federation, highlighting the project’s role in restoring public spaces and fostering future football talent. Built on land returned to the municipality and transferred in 2022, the center features full-size and mini pitches, lighting, stands, and changing facilities.
Funded by the Georgian Football Federation with FIFA and UEFA support, the complex will offer free access to local youth and girls' football teams.
