
President of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG) Natia Turnava met with members of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission to Georgia, led by Alejandro Hajdenberg, for discussions on the country’s economic and financial landscape.
Turnava briefed the mission on Georgia’s monetary policy stance, the state of financial stability, and key macroeconomic prospects and risks. The meeting forms part of the IMF’s ongoing mission, which aims to review Georgia’s current macroeconomic conditions, assess fiscal and monetary policies, and outline future areas of cooperation.
The discussion was attended by NBG First Vice-President Ekaterine Mikabadze, Vice-Presidents Ekaterine Galdava and Nino Jeladze, as well as Andrew Jewell, the IMF’s Permanent Representative in Georgia.
