“The Acting President of the National Bank of Georgia, Natia Turnava, met with the US special envoy for Iran issues, Abram Paley,” - the National Bank of Georgia reported.

The parties discussed the current geopolitical challenges and the enforcement of sanctions related to Iran.

“The discussion also addressed the actions and initiatives undertaken by the National Bank in this regard. It was emphasized that the National Bank is actively implementing relevant measures in a timely and efficient manner,” the NBG stated.

Apart from Georgia, the US special envoy for Iran affairs conducted meetings in Armenia and Azerbaijan.
