
Acting President of the National Bank of Georgia, Natia Turnava, held a working meeting with the Deputy Minister of Finance of the Netherlands, Robin Uyterlinde.
The Georgian side informed the representatives of the Ministry of Finance of the Netherlands about the main macroeconomic trends in the country, the current framework of monetary policy, the steps taken to promote financial stability, the reforms carried out in terms of banking supervision, as well as the supervisory policy of the National Bank. The conversation also touched on the current processes and existing challenges in the region.
Natia Turnava thanked the Dutch side for the cooperation and technical assistance provided in various directions. It should be noted that the Dutch side helps the NBG in a number of directions, including the financial education.
"In terms of the activities carried out in recent years, Georgia occupies one of the leading positions in the region, and financial education is a common concern for all countries. In this regard, Georgia is one of the worthy partners in the European Community," - the Deputy Minister of Finance of the Netherlands said.
