Within the framework of the official visit, the representatives of the NATO Military Committee were hosted in Krtsanisi by the Commander of the NATO-Georgia Joint Training and Evaluation Center (JTEC). The head of the center held an information briefing for the members of the delegation, introducing the training capabilities of the Defense Forces, new and constructing infrastructure and training systems. The guests personally inspected the current national and multinational command headquarters exercises - "Didgori 2021" and "MAPLE ARCH". They also observed the "Eternity 2021" held with the participation of Turkish, Azerbaijani, and Georgian servicemen in Tbilisi and the international observer and controller course.
Later, a bilateral meeting was held between the Commander of the Georgian Defense Forces and the Head of the NATO Military Committee. Major General Giorgi Matiashvili and Admiral Rob Bauer spoke about the process of transformation of the Defense Forces, the importance of NATO-Georgia military cooperation and future priorities, as well as the security environment of the Black Sea.
The official visit of the highest military body of the North Atlantic Alliance to Georgia reaffirms NATO's unwavering support for the country's independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity and Euro-Atlantic aspirations.
