
"In September 2022, 636,235 international travelers visited Georgia, the figure is increased by 157.5% compared to September 2021, while the number of visits of international travelers was recovered by 69.4% compared to the same period of 2019,” - the National Tourism Administration of Georgia has published statistical data for September.
The dynamics of tourist visit recovery both in September and in 9 months of the current year has increased significantly.
In September 2022, 452,155 international tourists visited Georgia, the figure is increased by 115.7% compared to the same period of 2021, while 83.8% of international tourist visits have been recovered compared to the same period of 2019.
In the period of January-September 2022, 3,892,605 international travelers visited Georgia, the figure is increased by 199.1% compared to the same period of 2021. The recovery rate of international travelers' visits is 53.8% compared to the data of 9 months of 2019.
In 9 months of 2022, 2,704,133 international tourist visited Georgia, compared to the period of January-September 2021, the figure is increased by 147.5%. The recovery rate of international tourist visits is 67.8% compared to the same period of 2019.
The number of international travelers and international tourist visits is calculated according to the methodology developed in compliance with the recommendation of the World Tourism Organization and includes visits already carried out and completed.
