“In the month of August 2022, the revenues received from travel exceeded the figure of 2019 for the second time after the pandemic,” - the National Tourism Administration of Georgia reported.
"The travel revenues received in the month of August amounted to $522,945,221, which is 26.7% higher than the same indicator ($110,158,684) of 2019; compared to the month of August 2021, the revenues increased by $324,158,964 (+163.1%).
In the month of January-August 2022, Georgia received $2.1 billion of revenues from international travel (tourism), which is a recovery of 94.6% of the 2019 figure. Compared to January-August 2021, travel revenues have increased by $1,437,776,241 (+204.3%)," - the statement said.
