With the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Georgia, a large-scale exhibition dedicated to the Georgian culture and history - The Golden Fleece - Art of Georgia - will be opened on April 18 in the National Museum of Kraków, Poland. The Minister of Culture and Sports of Georgia Tea Tsulukiani will attend the opening of the exhibition.
It should be noted that after the restoration of independence, this is an exhibition of unprecedented importance about Georgia abroad, and it is being held under the patronage of the Polish Minister of Culture.
The large-scale exhibition will introduce the European visitor to the rich culture of Georgia, the masterpieces of the Georgian art, the outstanding examples of martial arts. It is planned to present the works of the best representatives of the Georgian modernism. For the first time, a number of the Georgian artifacts and manuscripts preserved in various Polish museums will be exhibited.
Such large cultural institutions as: Louvre, British National Museum, Berlin State Museum, Kraków State Museum, Jerusalem Museum, Wawel Royal Castle and Warsaw National Museum are participating in the exhibition.
A bilingual - English-Polish catalog was prepared for the exhibition.
The exhibition will last until September 15, 2024.
