The almond import into Georgia is growing steadily. According to Galt & Taggart's market review of nut kernels, most imported almonds are shelled.

83.2% of almonds are imported from the USA into Georgia, while import prices are decreasing, which follows international trends.

The increase in almond exports follows the increase in imports, as more than 90% of the product is re-exported, the bulk of which goes to Kazakhstan. 83.2% of the Georgian almonds are exported to Kazakhstan, Armenia and Uzbekistan.
