Founded in 1998 in the USA, VMware is a recognized leader in virtualization and cloud computing software. In 2023, as part of the largest M&A deal in the history of the IT industry, Broadcom, a global leader in semiconductor and software development, acquired VMware for $65 billion.
VMware's flagship software product is the vSphere platform, which virtualizes a company's computing infrastructure using so-called virtual machines (VMs). The hypervisor, an innovative technology from VMware, allows the operation of multiple independent, concurrently running VMs with different or identical operating systems on a single physical server.
VMware solutions are used across various industries and are suitable for both large enterprises and SMBs. "For us, as one of the largest software distributors in the region, it is crucial to include VMware solutions in our portfolio to meet a wider range of requests from our partners," said MONT TECH CEO Timofey Moskalev.
