A memorandum of understanding was signed between the National Tourism Administration of Georgia and the Swiss State Tourism Organization.
The memorandum was signed by the First Deputy Head of the National Tourism Administration of Georgia, Tamar Koriauli, and the Director of Special Projects and Destinations of the Swiss Tourism Organization, Federico Sommaruga, in the city of Zurich.
The Memorandum of Understanding aims to further strengthen the cooperation between Georgia and Switzerland in the field of tourism, share the best experiences of the two countries in the direction of the development of the adventure and winter tourism and destination management industry. They also discussed the prospects of educational training for representatives of the service sector in the Swiss Confederation, which will be an important opportunity for professionals working in the tourism industry of Georgia in order to share the best European knowledge.
As part of the visit, the First Deputy Head of the National Tourism Administration of Georgia held thematic meetings with representatives of tourism and hospitality, as well as healthcare and education sectors of the Swiss Confederation. At the meeting, prospects for further deepening of bilateral relations in the field of tourism between the two countries were discussed.
Revaz Lominadze, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Switzerland, and Irakli Burchuladze, the Head of the Mountain Tracks Agency, also attended the meeting.
