On July 13, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Georgia office of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and Tegeta Holding by the head of the UNFPA office in Georgia, Lela Bakradze, and the executive director of Tegeta Holding, Vakhtang Kacharava.
According to the memorandum, the parties agree to cooperate in the direction of introducing family-oriented and gender-sensitive policies in the workplace, which will serve the economic participation and empowerment of women, promote the realization of their potential in the labor market, and generally popularize the institution of responsible parenthood. Within the framework of the memorandum, Tegeta Holding will support the Men Care campaign, which, on the initiative of the Georgia office of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), has been implemented since 2016 and aims to increase the involvement of men as caring and equal partners and fathers in the process of achieving gender equality. Empowering adolescent girls by raising awareness and creating new opportunities is also a priority.
The events planned as part of the memorandum signed between the Georgia office of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and Tegeta Holding will be implemented from July 2022.
