
“The arrival of the European Commissioner for Energy Affairs in Georgia is a very important moment in the path of our country's European integration. It is worth noting that a high-level dialogue in the field of energy took place today for the first time within the framework of the Commissioner's visit. As we agreed, we will have a high-level dialogue on a regular basis, every year,” - the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia at the press conference held together with the European Commissioner for Energy Affairs Kadri Simson said.
"Mr. Levan Davitashvili and European Commissioner for Energy Affairs Kadri Simson held the first meeting in Tbilisi on November 16 in the format of a high-level energy dialogue. A wide range of energy issues were discussed at the meeting. As Levan Davitashvili noted, Georgia is starting a new path in the process of European integration, when more needs to be done in terms of reforms in different directions. In addition, as it was said at the meeting, Georgia has made significant progress in terms of implementing the reforms - legislation in the field of energy and institutional strengthening.
As the parties agreed, the next meeting of the high-level energy dialogue between the European Union and Georgia will be held in Brussels," - the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia reported.
