According to the press service of the Prime Minister, the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Georgia, Mark Clayton, and the Regional Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in the Caucasus, Catarina Bjorlin Hansen, delivered welcoming speeches at the meeting of the Council, which was opened by the Prime Minister.

Reportedly, Giorgi Cherkezishvili, Secretary of the Investors' Council, spoke about the activities of the Investors' Council and the implementation of the decisions made at the previous session. The Council meeting also focused on the attractionof foreign direct investment in renewable energy, investment prospects in the agricultural sector, creation of new financial instruments to increase access to finances, challenges facing the construction sector, reform of state-owned enterprises, as well as the issues related to the pharmaceutical industry.

"Today's meeting of the Council covered almost all areas of the economy and the investment situation in various fields. The issues related to both the energy and pharmaceutical sectors, the reform of state-owned enterprises, and the strengthening of financial instruments. Action plans have been made and in the coming days we will continue to work in the format of working groups," - said Giorgi Cherkezishvili, Secretary of the Investors' Council.

The meeting of the Investors' Council was fruitfully assessed by the Regional Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in the Caucasus, Catarina Bjorlin Hansen.
