The Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Levan Davitashvili, stated that the revenues from the tourism sector in Georgia may exceed the pre-pandemic level - the rate for the summer months of 2019.

"We must maintain the positive dynamics of the economic growth in the coming months. In May, the tourism recovery rate was almost 96%. In the summer months - June, July and August - we expect that tourism revenues should exceed the 2019 data. Consequently, it will be a solid foundation for sustaining a strong economic growth. In other respects, too, we think the positive trends in the economy will continue," - said Levan Davitashvili.
