
Levan Davitashvili has officially resigned from his role as Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia. He will now serve as the Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister on Economic Issues and will also assume the position of Secretary of the Economic Council.
The transition was announced by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during a briefing at the Government Administration.
Davitashvili had held the post of Economy Minister since February 9, 2022, and has been serving as Vice Prime Minister since July 12, 2021. His successor, Mariam Kvrivishvili, formerly Deputy Minister and a member of the ruling party’s political council, has been appointed to lead the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.
