
As the Union of Oil Products Importers reports, in the period of January-June 2023, the import of oil bitumen and liquefied gases (LPG) to Georgia increased.
In the months of January-June 2023, the import of oil bitumen and liquefied gases amounted to 54.7 thousand tons, which is 17.1 thousand tons or 45.5% more compared to the indicator (37.6 thousand tons) of the same period of 2022.
During the 6 months of 2023, the largest volume of oil bitumen import was carried out from Russia - 25.5 thousand tons, which is 46.6% of all imports. Russia is followed by Iraq – with 15.9 thousand tons (29.1%); Turkey – with 11.9 thousand tons (21.7%); Azerbaijan – with 1.3 thousand tons (2.4%); Turkmenistan - with 0.1 thousand tons (0.2%);
In the months of January-June 2023, the import of liquefied gas (LPG) amounted to 25.24 thousand tons, which is 7.64 thousand tons or 43.4% more compared to the indicator (17.60 thousand tons) of the same period last year.
During the 6 months of 2023, 99.6% (25.13 thousand tons) of liquefied gas (LPG) was imported from the Russian Federation.
