The volume of products imported to Georgia by land has increased. In particular, according to Geostat, within the first three months of 2022, the country imported a total of $ 2.693 billion worth of products, out of which $ 1.165 billion worth of products entered Georgia by car.
As of 2021, $ 1.985 billion worth of products were imported to Georgia in the first three months of last year, out of which $ 859.078 million worth of goods came by road transport.
The list of the top-10 products, which were imported to Georgia by land this year is as follows:
• Medicines packaged - $ 54.272 million;
• Cars - $ 43,060 million;
• Carbon steel rods, without further processing - $ 19,364 million;
• Ores and copper concentrates - $ 19,166 million;
• Ferrous metal constructions and their parts - $ 16,485 million;
• Pipes, tubes and hollow profiles, ferrous metal - $ 16,030 million;
• Tractors and articulated lorries - $ 14,163 million;
• Finished goods, including clothing moulds- $ 13.813 million;
• Bulldozers, autograders, excavators, rammers and more - $ 13,347 million;
• Margarine - $ 12.825 million.
