
Tamaz Kurashvili, the founder of jazz in Georgia and a virtuoso performer of jazz music, died at the age of 75. His relatives and colleagues wrote about this on the social network.
Kurashvili was the first to be recognized as a star in the field of jazz in Georgia. The Star of Tamaz Kurashvili was inaugurated in 2011 outside the Great Concert Hall.
Over the years, Tamaz Kurashvili participated in festivals in different countries worldwide: Poland, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, the Czech Republic. He was a laureate of jazz festivals in many countries.
Since 1987, Tamaz Kurashvili has been working for years in the USA, together with famous jazz artists, John Bird and Stephen Jordan. He has participated in many concerts and jazz events.
