The leek import to Georgia increased by 115%. According to the data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT), in January-November 2022, 15.31 tons of fresh or chilled leeks and other onion-like vegetables were imported to Georgia, the value of which amounted to $ 16.05 thousand. Within the same period of 2021, 7.11 tons of leeks worth of $ 6.62 thousand entered the country.

According to statistics, 92% of leeks imported to the country in 11 months of 2022 were imported from the Netherlands. It turns out that this year leeks were imported to Georgia from three countries.
The Netherlands: 14.11 tons - $ 15.66 thousand;
Turkey: 0.80 tons - $ 0.05 thousand;
Russia: 0.40 tons - $ 0.34.
