Napoli’s Georgian midfielder Khvicha Kvaratskhelia on Tuesday scored his debut Champions League goal and made an assist in the team's 6-1 thrashing of Ajax in the Johan Cruijff Arena.
Giacomo Raspadori scored a double, with Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Piotr Zielinski and substitute Giovanni Simeone adding the other goals for the Italian league leaders, after Mohammed Kudus had given the hosts the lead inside the opening 10 minutes.
Napoli recorded its biggest away win in Europe and has now scored 13 goals in three Group A matches this Champions League campaign.
"I think dreams are coming true because today I played in the Champions League and I even scored a goal. I am very happy. The most important thing is that we won the game”, - Kvaratskhelia said.
Kvaratskhelia's goal against Ajax was the first goal of a Georgian player in the competition for 17 years.
