
Kazakhstan has increased the oil transportation via the Baku-Tbilisi Ceyhan pipeline by 6 times.
According to the KazTransOil data, 3.62 million tons of oil were transited from Aktau port in 11 months, which is 50% higher than the figure of the same period last year. Oil is transported from Aktau in 2 directions.
In particular, 1.238 million tons of oil was transported to the port of Baku, which is 6 times more (205 thousand tons) compared to the 11th month of 2022. Oil was delivered from Aktau to the port of Makhachkala - in the amount of 1.824 million tons.
To be reminded, according to the agreement signed between KazMunayGas and SOCAR, this year, Kazakhstan should transship 1.5 million tons of oil through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline.
