Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze has stated that the Georgian Dream party will announce its candidate for the upcoming mayoral race next week.

In response to a media question, Kaladze said, “You will find out in the coming days, next week, who the mayoral candidate will be.”

When pressed on whether he remains as confident as he was a month ago about defeating the opposition, Kaladze replied:
“Do you want me to repeat that I will definitely be a candidate and that I will certainly defeat the opposition? I’m telling you—wait, you will find out everything very soon.”
