Josep Borrell, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy congratulated Irakli Kobakhidze on the appointment as Georgia’s new Prime Minister.
“Congratulations to newly appointed Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and his team. Looking forward to continuing working closely with Georgia in this historic phase of EU-Georgia relations, advancing on Georgia’s EU path,” Josep Borrell tweeted.
Eighty-four legislators backed Irakli Kobakhidze and his new government while ten voted against them in the February 8 vote.
