High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of EU Commission, Josep Borrell, called on the Georgian authorities “to follow the [Venice Commission] recommendation in view of safeguarding the fundamental elements of Georgia’s democracy.”

“The Venice Commission has strongly recommended Georgia to repeal the Law on Foreign Influence in its current form,” Josep Borrell wrote on X.
