
“The Chairman of the National Wine Agency of Georgia, Levan Mekhuzla, introduced the report on the activities carried out by the National Wine Agency in 2021 and ten months of 2022 to the members of the Agrarian Affairs Committee,” – the press service of the Parliament of Georgia said.
According to him, the National Wine Agency works in several directions for the development and promotion of the field of viticulture and winemaking: promotion of the Georgian wine; wine quality control; measures to promote the harvest; research and popularization of the Georgian vine culture; development of the system for the Georgian wine’s place of origin.
Levan Mekhuzla said the activities aimed at promoting and increasing awareness of wine continue actively in the strategic markets of the Georgian wine. According to him, despite the post-pandemic period, 2021 was one of the successful years - the Georgian wine was exported to 62 countries.
