The issue of Georgia is scheduled for discussion at tomorrow’s meeting of the EU Foreign Ministers.
According to official information, the meeting will commence at 10:00 AM local time in Brussels on December 16, and will be chaired for the first time by Josep Borrell, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
As outlined on the European Council's website, the Foreign Affairs Council will engage in a discussion on recent developments in Georgia. In addition to this, the EU foreign ministers are set to address Russia's ongoing aggression against Ukraine and review the situation in the Middle East, including recent events in Syria and Lebanon.
Notably, on December 10, EU spokesperson Anita Hipper indicated that the EU is considering "additional measures" concerning Georgia during the meeting of EU foreign ministers. She also emphasized the EU's solidarity with the Georgian people and their democratic and European aspirations.
