According to the Embassy of Israel in Georgia, EyeYon Medical is a medical company, the modern implants of which help reduce the incidence of blindness caused by chronic corneal pathologies.
With the support of the Embassy of Israel, Dmitry Dubson, Head of Research and Development at EyeYon Medical, will attend operations at the Akhali Mzera Clinic to be carried out by Professor Merab Dvali, involving the implantation of an artificial endothelial layer of the cornea created by EyeYon Medical using modern, innovative technologies.
"Dmitry Dubson was born in Georgia and went to Israel at the age of 17, where he became a Research and Development Specialist and today he is a leading specialist in one of the leading ophthalmology clinics in Israel.
The Embassy of Israel is pleased to have the opportunity to support EyeYon Medical and Clinic Akhali Mzera to introduce modern Israeli medical technologies in Georgia and to assist patients for whom this technology is the only solution. This project is another visible example of fruitful cooperation between Georgia and Mashav (Israel's Agency for International Development Cooperation) in the field of healthcare in Georgia, which was also preceded by Israel's support for Georgia in cooperation with organizations such as the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health (NCDC), the Georgian Red Cross Society (GRCS), the World Health Organization (WHO Georgia) Office, BTU - University of Business and Technology (Electronic Medicine: Introduction of Digital Healthcare Management) and the Ministry of Health of Georgia itself,” - the statement reads.
