Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has extended warm congratulations to Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and the people of Georgia on the occasion of Georgia’s Independence Day, marked on May 26. The message was shared by Georgia’s government administration press service.
In his letter, Netanyahu highlighted the enduring relationship between the two nations, describing it as rooted in “shared values and deep historical connections.”
“Israel and Georgia have had special relations for centuries,” he wrote. “These ties are not only historical but have also flourished in recent years, notably through a significant rise in tourism, which promotes cultural exchange and mutual benefit.”
Netanyahu also expressed appreciation for Georgia’s longstanding hospitality toward its Jewish community, thanking Prime Minister Kobakhidze and his government for their continued support and tolerance.
