“Interpreting the double-digit economic growth and high economic activity in Georgia in the context of migrants, to put it mildly, is wrong,” - the Minister of Finance of Georgia, Lasha Khutsishvili, said at the briefing held at the National Bank of Georgia today. The press service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia disseminates this information.
According to the Minister, several important factors influence economic growth in the country.
"There are many other factors that lead to high, double-digit economic growth in the country, and it has nothing to do with migration. These factors are: the recovery of tourism, you know that last year a 35% recovery was observed; this year we are actually facing a 100% recovery - exports have grown faster than planned. Today we have a 37%-growth. In addition, the direction of international shipments is expanding. All these factors determine the high economic growth that we are seeing today", - the Minister of Finance, Lasha Khutsishvili, stated
As he noted, the stability of fiscal parameters is particularly important in the medium term to deal with expected increased risks.
