“On June 9-19, Tbilisi will host the third International Piano Festival - TBILISI PIANO FEST, which was founded in 2019 with the support of the Tbilisi City Hall and annually brings together the world's leading musicians and teachers,” - the statement issued by the City Hall reads.
Young talented pianists are given the opportunity to participate in masterclasses at the festival in an interactive format and gain a great experience in a direct, festival environment.
The founder and artistic director of the festival is a famous Georgian pianist Dudana Mazmanishvili, while among this year's guests are well-known pianists from New York, Paris, Zurich, Madrid, Vienna, Berlin and, of course, the Georgian pianists: Edisher Savitsky, Sandro Gegechkori and Irma Gigani. A famous pianist of Ukrainian origin Konstantin Lifschitz is also participating in the festival.
The festival is scheduled to be held in the Grand Hall of the Tbilisi State Conservatoire and the halls of the National Library of Georgia, the master classes - at the National Palace, while the final concerts of the festival are planned to be performed in the open air on Orbeliani Square with the participation of the National Symphony Orchestra, Dudana Mazmanishvili, Nikoloz Rachveli, a celebrity pianist Cyprien Katsaris and a German conductor Maurice Gnan.
