“For Georgian companies involved in agribusiness, USAID's agricultural program, Enterprise Georgia Agency, and the Rural Development Agency of Georgia have launched a new, innovative program for establishing export market connections. A large international consulting company will closely cooperate with Georgian companies and help them to properly formulate their export offer, identify relevant buyers in the target export markets and create business deals,” - the Enterprise Georgia Agency reported.
The goal of the program is to connect Georgian producers with interested buyers in Germany and the Persian Gulf countries. About 80 export-oriented enterprises producing blueberry and walnut crops and processing food were selected for participation in the program.
"Within the framework of the program, a large international consulting company will closely cooperate with Georgian companies and help them to properly formulate their export offer, identify relevant buyers in the target export markets and create business deals. The project will support dozens of Georgian companies and give them the opportunity to start exporting their products to high-value export markets.
The Export Market Linkage Program is being implemented through the Georgian Agro Export Group, which was jointly established by the USAID Agriculture Program, the Enterprise Georgia Agency and the Rural Development Agency of Georgia,” - the statement reads.
