Indorama Corporation, one of the largest international chemical companies, entered Georgia with the support of the Georgian government. With the active involvement of the Enterprise Georgia Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, the Singaporean company, which has more than 160 enterprises in 38 countries of the world and employs more than 45,000 people, acquired the Rustavi nitrogen plant.
The Singaporean company has been studying the investment climate and opportunities of Georgia for years, in which the investment team of the Enterprise Georgia Agency was actively involved.
According to the Director of the Enterprise Georgia Agency Mikheil Khidureli, this investment will be one of the largest in Georgia. He said the corporation planned to invest significant financial resources in the direction of modernization, development and production expansion of the enterprise in the coming years.
