
The Georgian Deputy Economy Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili said increasing the number of direct flights to European Union member states was among the priorities of the country’s government, in comments on the recent launch of Air Moldova regular flights between Tbilisi and Chișinău.
"Our priority is to increase the number of direct flights and destinations with EU member countries, and we are working intensively with European airlines to reach the goal”, Kvrivishvili said.
The Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia declared the regular flights between Chișinău and Tbilisi would be operated between October 16-27 twice a week on Mondays and Fridays, while between October 30-March 23, 2023 the flights would take place four times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
