Deputy Ministers of Economy and Sustainable Development Genadi Arveladze and Nino Enukidze took part in the event dedicated to the start of construction of the new multifunctional complex Petra Sea Resort in Tsikhisdziri.
Several tens of millions of US dollars will be invested in the Petra Sea Resort project. The complex includes 42 buildings; a 5-star branded hotel with 150 rooms will be located in the central building of the resort. 1000 branded residences will occupy the highest 54-storey building with distinctive architecture of the project.
Buildings will be located on only 30% of the resort, and 70% of the total area of the complex will be occupied by infrastructure and recreational areas. It should be noted here that the complex as a whole will be a space based on the principles of energy efficiency, a large part of which will be occupied by recreational areas.
The first stage of construction works of the complex will be completed by the end of 2025.
"One more multi-functional complex of international level and scale in the Adjara region, in turn, will contribute to the creation of additional infrastructure for tourism in the region and the attraction of tourists. In addition to the fact that the mentioned complex will be one of the major investment projects in the region, it will create hundreds of new jobs, which is one of the priorities of our government. I am sure that Petra Sea Resort will become a favorite place for both local and foreign tourists and visitors," said Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Genadi Arveladze.
