
In the 3rd quarter of 2022, 2.3 million international non-resident travelers entered the territory of Georgia, which is 2.8 times more than the figure of the 2021 corresponding period.
According to the data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GeoStat), the number of international visitors reached 1.6 million in the 3rd quarter of 2022, which is 2.5 times higher than the corresponding period of the previous year.
Moreover, the largest number (443.6 thousand) of visitors in the 3rd quarter of 2022 was recorded from the Russian Federation, accounting for 27.7% of the total number of visitors. Armenia ranks 2nd with a 15.3% share, and Turkey ranks 3rd with a 13.7% share. Accordingly, the largest number of visits was made by citizens of the Russian Federation (533.2 thousand), Armenia (326.0 thousand) and Turkey (281.3 thousand).
