The Georgian National Statistics Office (GEOSTAT) published today the preliminary report on external trade for the month of September. According to the document, Georgia exported goods worth of $523 million abroad during the last month, which is 40% or $149 million more than last year.
Imports also increased, the revenues of which amounted to $1.08 billion in September. This is $132 million, or 14% more than the volume recorded in the previous year.
In January-September, the revenues from Georgia's exports were $4.1 billion, which is 35% more than the amount recorded in the previous year. The revenues from imports amounted to $9.5 billion, which is 34% more annually.
The GEOSTAT’s preliminary report does not specify which goods' import and export have increased. The GEOSTAT will publish this information on October 19.
