"As part of our commitment to move closer to the EU, we have adopted several important laws in recent years, such as the Forest Code, the Law on Environmental Liability, and the Environmental Assessment Code. These are the laws that are in full compliance with the European standards. Also, we have developed several draft laws on biodiversity and industrial emissions; today, the Parliament will actively consider the draft law on water resources management," - Otar Shamugia, the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, said.
