
In November 2022, the volume of remittance flows into Georgia amounted to $521.2 million (1421.8 million GEL), which is 151.4% ($313.8 million) more than the similar indicator of November 2021.
According to the countries, the Russian Federation still ranks 1st - Georgia received remittances in the amount of $316 million. Compared to the previous year, this amount is 819% more, which is related to the record migration flow. In total, this year, the economy of Georgia received Russian remittances of $1.75 billion, while the volume of Russian remittances for the whole of 2021 was less than $411 million.
According to the data of the National Bank of Georgia, in terms of remittances in November, Italy is in the second place with $36 million, and the USA ranks 3rd with $29 million.
