
“In November 2022, 121,454 citizens from the Russian Federation entered Georgia”, - the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
Based on the statistics published by the Ministry, in November 2022 it can be seen that the number of arrivals from the northern neighboring country exceeds the figure of the same month last year by 347%. For reference, in November 2021, 27,186 arrivals from Russia were recorded.
Accordingly, in November 2022, Russia ranks 1st among the first six countries.
According to the data of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in the same period, the number of arrivals from Turkey and Armenia to Georgia increased by 216% and recorded 113,054 arrivals, while from Armenia it increased by 260% to 97,014 arrivals.
The rate of crossing the border into Georgia from Ukraine has increased by 90%. Accordingly, the war-torn country took fourth place in this ranking with 16,799 arrivals.
As for the EU countries, the border was crossed 42% more times from this direction and 15,370 arrivals were recorded. The sixth place was taken by Azerbaijan with 14,829 crossings, which is a 65% increase compared to November last year.
According to the official statistics of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, the total number of arrivals in November was 457,375. This is 158.5% more compared to the same period of the previous year. Of these, 258,235 visitors stayed for 24 hours or more. The increase is 83.7% in November.
