"According to preliminary estimates, in March 2024, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the GDP growth rate amounted to 8.2 percent, and the average real growth of the 1st quarter was determined at 7.8 percent," - the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT) stated. 

Reportedly, in March 2024, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the following sectors made a significant contribution to the economic growth: processing industry, information and communication, professional, scientific and technical activities and those related to real estate.

A downward trend was observed in the construction, energy, transport and warehousing sectors.
