In July, 19.3% of visitors came to Georgia from Russia - Geostat

“In the second quarter of 2022, 1,049 thousand international non-resident travelers entered the territory of Georgia, which is 198.7% more than the figure of the same period of the previous year,” - the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) reports.
According to the agency, the largest part of arrivals - 47.0% - was aged 31-50.
In the second quarter of 2022, most visits (52.0%) were made for the purpose of vacation, entertainment and recreation.
In the II quarter of 2022, the largest number of arrivals (147.7 thousand) was recorded from the Russian Federation, which is 19.3% of the total number of visitors. Turkey ranked 2nd with a 14.9% share, and Armenia – 3rd with a 12.1% share.
