
In January-October 2022, fuel imports into Georgia increased. According to the Union of Importers of Petroleum Products of Georgia, in January-October 2022, the import volume of petrol and diesel into Georgia amounted to 963.9 thousand tons, which is 18.9 thousand tons or 2% more (945 thousand tons) compared to the figure of the same period last year.
As the Union reported, during 10 months of 2022, the import volume of petrol amounted to 499.5 thousand tons, and the import volume of diesel – to 464.4 thousand tons.
By the categories, the import volume of petrol in the months of January-October 2022 was as follows: A-91 regular petrol - 306.2 thousand tons (61.3%); A-95 premium petrol - 181.9 thousand tons (36.4%); A-98 super petrol - 11.4 thousand tons (2.3%);
During 10 months of the current year, the largest volume of petrol and diesel was imported into Georgia from Russia - 497.9 thousand tons, making up 51.7% of all imports. Russia is followed by Romania – with 210.6 thousand tons - 21.8%; Bulgaria – with 108.9 thousand tons - 11.3%; Turkmenistan - with 73.9 thousand tons - 7.7%; Azerbaijan – with 55.3 thousand tons - 5.7%; Turkey – with 7.6 thousand tons - 0.8%, Greece – with 4.7 thousand tons - 0.5%, Kazakhstan – with 2.0 thousand tons - 0.2%, etc.
