According to the preliminary data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT), in January-March 2024, the foreign trade turnover with goods in Georgia (without undeclared trade) was $4,699.4 million, which is 6.5 percent less than the corresponding indicator of the previous year.

From this, according to the GEOSTAT, the export value was $1 325.7 million. Compared to the same period of the previous year, it decreased by 9.3 percent, and the import value was $3,373.6 million - the decrease was 5.3 percent.

The trade deficit in January-March 2024 amounted to $2,047.9 million, which is 43.6 percent of foreign trade turnover.
