According to the data published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat), in January-June 2022, Georgia’s foreign trade turnover of goods (without undeclared trade) amounted to $ 8,467.6 million, which is 35.2 percent higher than the revenue reported in the corresponding period of the previous year.
According to Geostat, out of this, the revenue from the export was $ 2 548.7 mln. (35.1 percent more), while from the import - $ 5 918.9 mln. (35.3 percent more).
As noted by the National Statistics Office, the negative trade balance in January-June 2022 amounted to $ 3,370.2 million, 39.8 percent of foreign trade turnover.
