
In January-July 2023, the import of motor oils to Georgia increased, aviation kerosene - decreased, - the Union of Oil Products Importers stated.
In January-July 2023, the import volume of lubricants amounted to 13.23 thousand tons, which is 1.17 thousand tons or 9.7% more compared to the figure (12.06 thousand tons) of the same period of the previous year.
During this period, the largest volume of motor oils was imported to Georgia from Turkey, which amounted to 2.79 thousand tons, which is 21.1% of all imports. Turkey is followed by Iran - 2.74 thousand tons (20.7%); Germany - 1.50 thousand tons (11.3%), Azerbaijan - 0.82 thousand tons (6.2%); and others.
As for aviation oil, 67.1 thousand tons of goods entered the country in January-July 2023, which is 0.5 thousand tons, or 0.7% less than the indicator (67.6 thousand tons) of the same period of 2022.
During 7 months of the current year, 44.1% (29.6 thousand tons) of aviation oil was imported to Georgia from Turkmenistan, 25.8% (17.3 thousand tons) - from Azerbaijan; 15.3% (10.3 thousand tons) - from Greece, 10% (6.7 thousand tons) - from Turkey, 4.8% (3.2 thousand tons) - from Malta.
