
“As of January-February 2023, the import of petrol and diesel into Georgia amounted to 174.1 thousand tons, which is 8.4 thousand tons or 4.6% (182.5 thousand tons) less compared to the figure of the same period last year,” - the Georgian Union of Petroleum Product Importers announced.
According to the statement, during the first 2 months of 2023, the import of petrol amounted to 81.8 thousand tons, and the import of diesel - 92.3 thousand tons.
By the categories, during the months of January-February 2023, the import of petrol was as follows: A-91 regular type petrol - 48.3 thousand tons (59%); A-95 premium petrol - 32 thousand tons (39.1%); A-98 super petrol - 1.5 thousand tons (1.8%);
During the months of January-February 2023, the largest volume of petrol and diesel was imported from Russia - 148.5 thousand tons, which is 85.3% of all imports; 24.6 thousand tons (14.1%) – from Romania; 0.7 thousand tons (0.4%) - from Belarus; 0.2 thousand tons (0.1%) – fom Turkmenistan; 0.1 thousand tons (0.05%) – from Ukraine; 0.1 thousand tons (0.05%) – from Bulgaria.
